Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - The Colorado Avalanche have placed defenseman Adam Foote on injured reserve for a second time this season.Foote, who missed time in late November and early December with upper back and knee injuries, this time is suffering from a triceps problem. The current IR move is retroactive to January 4. In 30 games this season, Foote has four assists. This is Foote's second go-round with the Avalanche, who re-acquired the 17- year veteran from Columbus at the trade deadline last season. He spent his first 13 NHL seasons with the Colorado franchise. The Avalanche had previously recalled defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from their AHL affiliate in Lake Erie to help the blue line in Foote's absence, and on Tuesday also recalled forward Philippe Dupuis from Lake Erie. Cumiskey and Dupuis have each appeared in three games with the Avalanche this season.
