With all the talk surrounding Britney Spears' short-lived marriage, the spotlight has turned to the pop-tart's former longtime squeeze Justin Timberlake.
Timberlake, who has been dating leggy actress Cameron Diaz for nine months, fueled speculation about a possible proposal to the "Charlie's Angels" star when he was quoted as saying: "Cameron and I are at a special point in our relationship."Call off the paparazzi dogs, however. Diaz talks in the February edition of W magazine and wants to set the record straight."Why is it that with every actress in a relationship, it's like, 'Oh, well, you're with that person because you want to get married and have a baby," she says. The couple was on a ski vacation in Vail, Colo., with friends for New Year's Eve when the big news of Britney broke.
Diaz is 31 and Timberlake is 22, but she says the age difference is not an issue."It's not like it's the first time in the history of human relationships that people are drawn to one another because of who they are, not what age they are," she says. That's right, Cameron. Look at Ashton and Demi.
The inaugural family vacation cruise leaves New York City on July 11, 2004 on the new Norwegian Dawn. Kurt Russell has started to make the rounds to promote his new movie "Miracle," (which, by the way, is fantastic!). It just so happens that a few days before his promotional push for the movie about the 1980 Olympic ice hockey dream team champs began, his longtime partner Goldie Hawn's daughter, Kate Hudson, had her first baby. So, essentially that makes Russell a step-grandfather. He'll be 53 on March 17, if you're wondering.Russell laughed when I called him a grandpa the other day when we met up at an early preview screening of the film in Culver City, Calif. The baby's name tributes Russell, who Hudson practically grew up with. Her father is singer Bill Hudson, but Russell and Hawn have been together for almost as long as Kate has been alive. Hudson was born in 1979; Hawn and Russell got together in 1983.Ryder Russell Robinson was born to Hudson and her rock star husband Chris Robinson Jan. 7."They are going to make great parents," Russell said.Cruisin' With Rosie
Call it a gay cruise with some serious issues. Rosie O'Donnell and her partner, Kelli Carpenter O'Donnell, have started R Family Vacations, and the company's inaugural cruise will feature talks about artificial insemination, gay adoption and surrogacy.

It's a sad anniversary for the Gibb brothers, but there is also some happy news out of the Bee Gees camp.Robin and Barry Gibb are reportedly recording songs together for a new album.A British newspaper reported that the two remain devastated by Maurice's death, which happened suddenly a year ago, but that a new record is in the works. The pair will probably not perform under the Bee Gees name, but will most likely be called The Gibb Brothers.Maurice Gibb died Jan. 12, 2003 at the age of 53 following abdominal surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. The autopsy report released a few days later blamed the death on a congenital condition.Michelle Solomon's gossip column, Celebrity Chatter, usually appears each Monday.
